FAQ

Is this a tank only? Will it work with a 3 tube dispenser?

This is the tank only and does not include the silicon tube from the tank to the faucet. I used this with a Tomlinson Contemporary Hot and Cold Water Faucet with 3 tubes. The first tube comes from the water supply into the faucet. The second one goes from the faucet into the tank and the third is the hot water supply from the tank.

there is no vent tube is this a problem???

With a 3 tube dispenser, the valve or handle only controls cold water to the tank and the hot water tube connects to the spout, is always open and also acts as a vent. When you turn the valve on, it forces cold water into the tank which causes the hot water in the tank to come out the spout.

will this work with an incinerator water purifier as the cold water supply?

I think so. I’m using mine with an RO system that has a pressurized storage tank. I had to buy a fitting to convert the 3/8″ outlet tube to 1/4″ for the Ready Hot. One of the main reasons we bought the Ready Hot was because it came with a faucet with both hot and cold and it was tall enough to fill a tall thermos.

Reviews & Experience

Peter Harrison: Have Purchased this Best Hot Water Dispenser and Reviewed that “Better quality faucet than the competition. Looks high-end. Somewhat easier to install.” The faucet install was easier than ISE, too. With ISE the whole faucet unit is installed with a single plastic clamping nut, so you have to go underneath the sink to install the nut, come back out to check alignment, back underneath to tighten some more, back out for a final check, then back below for the final tightening. The ReadyHot faucet has a separate mounting ring and clamp assembly that you can install entirely from above, if you like. (ReadyHot has a nifty folding clamp ring that cam be dropped through the hole then held in place with a piece of string. The approach looks really well thought out and would work well for a single installer. In my case I asked my wife to turn the two screws a few times from above while I held the folding clamp ring in place from below, then went back topside to tighten them down.) Then you set the faucet on the base and lock the alignment in using a set-screw on the back. Much easier.
